What a performance from

Posted on Fri, 21 Nov 2025

What a performance from Aefelthrith, she was very lucky. I think Dolly's in her element watching Aefelthrith suffer.

I don't know where anyone would be without Gwladys, she seems to hold the fort for everyone, I hope she can cope with all...

Posted on Fri, 21 Nov 2025

That's it! the Bunch Of Grapes! Such happy evenings spent in there. What a crazy evening that must have been surrounded by so many nuns. That's such sad news about the pub now closed and unloved, seems to me that our memories are all we have left...

That's such a shame how you

Posted on Fri, 21 Nov 2025

That's such a shame how you felt when going to see Swan Lake. I've never sat up that high before, always managed to get a seat downstairs.

We used to drink in a side street pub, I think the street name is Denmark Street, but I don't...

Hi Turlough,

Posted on Thu, 20 Nov 2025

Hi Turlough,

what a memory of your Nan Grace. I only recall the old hand driven mangle my mum used. Poor mum mangled her finger once and it was never the same once fixed, but appeared twested just around the nail area.

I bet my mum...

Your poem hits home in so

Posted on Mon, 17 Nov 2025

Your poem hits home in so many ways Jane. The world definetly wasn't as complicated as it is now. Back when I was young things didn't keep changing so fast, we had time to adjust and get used to a slower way of life...well for me it was anyway....

Hi Rhiannon,

Hi Rhiannon,

nothing compares to a walk in the countryside, and at this time of year it's nice because although the sun is bright it's not too hot. The views sound wonderful from your vantage point, overlooking the village and hills....

Good evening Turlough,

Posted on Mon, 17 Nov 2025

Good evening Turlough,

I'm so sorry to hear you've  had a hard time since you got back from your holiday. Poor Ludo, I know how hard it is to give dogs and cats tablets, had the same experience with all the cats I've ever owned and my dog...

Hi Turlough,

Hi Turlough,

I do have many stories of my younger days in my back log of stories. I haven't put them in any order, as I didn't know what to do back in 2010 when I first joined, and I don't want to lose any of the lovely comments people...

Hi Turlough, its not you that

Posted on Fri, 14 Nov 2025

Hi Turlough, its not you that's changed in your mindset. I find one of the reasons I don't like going back to old haunts, is because they change so much from what It was like back in the day. Even the village where I grew up had lost its sparkle...
