Gargantua

I recently read a novel
amusing and extravagant
about the life and deeds
of a very hungry giant.
The father of Pantagruel,
his name was Gargantua
and news of his appetite
had even reached Mantua.
His habitual ravenousness
was reputed to be massive;
he devoured fifteen pilgrims
and yet remained impassive.
François Rabelais's Five Books
were intended to be a satire;
they dealt with many topics
provoking a great deal of ire.
That 16th century pentalogy
reached the silver screen
although the French censors
had declared the work obscene.
A black hole named “Gargantua”
featured in the Interstellar movie
which was stunnigly captivating,
successful, popular and groovy.

Pilgrims on toast
An entertaining poem up to your usual standard Luigi, but I wonder... what's the best way to cook a pilgrim?

I bet those fifteen Pilgrims
I bet those fifteen Pilgrims were quaking in their boots when they saw Gargantua coming. I did hear it had been discovered that Giants did exist at some point in history.
Certainly a significant and impressive poem for the I.P. Luigi.
