Mum's the word

Written for a performance with the theme "Insprired by Sylvia Plath". After reading Sylvia Plaths poem "Cut", I tried to adopt a similarly blunt, short style using metaphors to give pictures to my emotions. In this case, I'm constantly on the cusp of calling out for my mum in the shops, like she is in another aisle or something. Sometimes the urge is so strong I think I might, except I can't afford to be taken to the mad house yet, lol.

So sad

It's so sad to see a big strong man cry yet of course they have emotions like the rest, sometimes more. This is a very poignant poem.
