Sea-Salt

Why is the sea blue? They say it has to do with reflection—or other— but I think there’s more to uncover. So, if that’s true… why is the sea so...

Wow, this brims with attitude and sharp noir energy.

Loved the line “hair-ladders to the moon and sixpence” — it slinks between fairytale and film with wild confidence.

That closing line? A mic drop. Art, indeed.

Haha, I’m with you—right in the middle of decluttering here!

Your poem perfectly captures the struggle and hope to let go. Thanks for putting it so well!

Thank you so much—I’m glad it

Thank you so much—I’m glad it had that effect. I love starting in familiar territory and slowly tilting the world off its axis. When the personal and surreal overlap, that's one of my favorites to write. Appreciate you reading  and commenting...

This was such a fun read—great rhythm and clever rhymes throughout! I especially loved the lines:

This is stunning. Quietly devastating in the best way. The slow-burn tension, the ethical weight of the narrator’s indecision, and that final twist—it lingers. Made me smile. Thanks for sharing

A beautifully written and moving piece. The emotion, imagery, and period detail are so vivid. Though fictional, it feels incredibly real. Thank you for sharing this heartfelt work.

Aww! That’s so special, and what a beautiful gift for your grandchildren—and for Jess. (Love that we share the name—common, maybe, but it always catches my attention!)

I love the idea of passing stories down like that, especially when so...

This was such a vivid, beautiful read—equal parts funny, raw, and moving. The flowers, the coal, the pianos… it’s wild how much memory can live in what others leave behind. Thank you for sharing this.
