Stuff

Stuff.
please save me;
I’ve had enough
of stuff.
I came into life
without anything,
and I shall leave
with nothing.
So, how did
I acquire
the desire
for more stuff?
Is it what I want;
or what I need;
or is it just to feed
my consuming greed?
And stuff,
Is filling me up,
and I’ve had enough
of all that stuff.
So, let me aspire
to no longer acquire,
any more of that
Stuff!

Haha, I’m with you—right in
Haha, I’m with you—right in the middle of decluttering here!
Your poem perfectly captures the struggle and hope to let go. Thanks for putting it so well!

Very well put, Dougie! and it
Very well put, Dougie! and it fills the eyes, heart, life … And cloud the important goals of life.
While there is room to stuff stuff it tends to remain … in case …. Having done children's, and tots' clubs, and now having young grandchildren calling (Can we do some craft?) gives a reason to keep all sorts of odds and ends if there's somewhere to sruff it! Until one needs to move house …!
