Short Stories

I joined this site, like a few others, because I have some short stories that I'm interested in sharing online. I've recently finished a teacher training course, and before that I was doing a part-time degree, so as you can imagine, during that time I didn't get much chance to do any creative writing. Now that I have, I've started writing again and it feels really good.
Some of what I've already written is too long to post on here, if the 2,500 word limit that I've just come up against is anything to go by, but knowing I have that set number of words to work with might just inspire me to create smaller stories more often.
Anyway, I think only one my current crop will be short enough to fit on here, so I'll start with that one and build from there. Thank you in advance to anyone and everyone who reads what I put on here.
Oh, and if uploading poems gives you the choice of including a photo, I'm going to use pictures I've taken myself from my numerous Facebook albums. I might as well put my Photography degree to good use.
