LONDON EYE
Here stands a wheel not meant to stay,
In a very short time it will have gone away.
Standing against a skyline of London City,
To dismantle this structure will be a pity.
Four hundred and fifty feet high is this creation,
Thirty-two pods will carry people to its top elevation.
One revolution, three-quarters of an hour will take,
So to board, in a long queue, you will have to wait
This edifice has been named the London Eye,
It is so big; it reaches way up to the sky.
British ingenuity is still at it's best,
Showing the world we can stay with the rest
The sponsor who takes people on their holidays,
Is the flying giant, British Airways.
As always it has been used to protest,
But the demo soon finished, just like the rest.
.
This wheel, constructed for this Millennium time,
Will give the passengers a view that is sublime.
A scene to remember the rest of their days,
Which will be expressed in many different ways.
