Violet the Wonder Worker

Violet the Wonder Worker is old and ancient, and her Grandma was a
Victorian. She has her hair dyed blonde and looks very glamorous when
she is walking down the street. But after she has soaked in the bath,
with her lavender bubble bath, she gets in her old, old dressing gown,
and she takes all her make up off, and she takes her new contact lenses
out, and the old, old glasses come on, and the shabby, old, old
slippers come on...she is more...motherly.
That is right, she is my Mum, fifty years old and the oldest of five.
I doubt she will ever read this and her name isn't Violet, but if she
ever does she'll know who frosty_owner is, the amount I go on about my
dog, Frosty...but she never embarasses me, although sometimes I pretend
that I think she is all grotty and irratating like all the other girls
think their mums are...but she's not. She's the trendiest person in the
street in the day and the most mumsy person in the house, but did I
mention she was a soft fuzzball that I could walk all over? Certaintly
not. She is the Boss and makes Sure that the world has heard her say
what she has to say. So, mum, if you do read this, let me tell you, I
do appreciate you, although I never actually say that often, you are a
wonder worker, and I should tell you I appreciate you and I promise I
will try and be nicer to you and not take you for granted. Thanjyou for
being my mum!
