Reverting To Type


Eighteen years back
I stumbled ;

youthful

drunk


unsteady

Not quite sure if I
was ready
to start what some call a career


or sit here smoking and drinking beer

My
face didn't fit
I was no Yes man
I didn't care for
the business plan
And now,I'm back where I began
at
the foot of the ladder
Back at the start, but much less
sadder
sitting here smoking
drinking beer

dreaming the -life of a poet
