A Life Is Brought Into The Crowd

He peered out from under the covers,
Shivering, despite the warm night
They had blankets, and wrapped him tight
They showed him off, through the crowd
His parents were proud.

He had been brought into the family
A party was started
Then at 12:00 the guests departed
And the new life silently slept
While his parents joyfully wept.
