Unrequited

My want goes unrequited,
My desires left
unheard,
My voice falls on the ocean,
Message lost by
song-less bird.
Still upon the thought of her; my
body shakes un-free,
Yet nothing more than memory does she
want of me.
I've woken up and realised that I've
been chasing dreams,
The walls and bars between us are the
rivers and the streams.
I started at the source and
followed them along,
So now I reach the ocean, here my hopes
and dreams have gone.
Perhaps I'll build a
boat,
Or dive deep down to see,
That nothing more she
wants of me,
So why can't I be free?
My
want goes unrequited,
My desires left unheard,
My
voice falls on the ocean,
Message lost by song-less bird.
