Eclipse
You bought for me a bracelet at Stratford upon Avon,
A chunky silver chain. You helped me put it on.
And still I feel the touch of tender fingers at my wrist;
My bracelet.
A shadow falls at noon in Frankfurt on the Main
It`s chilly as we peer at the sun that cannot shine.
And when you phone one dreadful word casts chill into my heart
Diagnosis
I am sitting in the plane flying home to be with you,
My optimistic husband full of zest and energy.
The bracelet on my wrist swims away into a blur?
It`s cancer.
"Can you help me, love, I don`t think I can do it on my own?"
Your tender fingers at my wrist. But if you must, you can;
So now I find it`s possible to fix it with one hand,
your bracelet
