Hidden Emotions

How I long
To be only me.
Emotions belong
Where they can be seen.

I can pretend
I can make believe.
Can you comprehend
Or even perceive?

What it's like
To be hidden.
It's not right
Should be forbidden.

I do believe
I'll give it a try.
I'm not naive
I won't even cry.

To be myself
Shout it out loud.
That in itself
Puts me on a cloud.
