Lonely in Company

God I'm Bored!
and poetry runs from me like orange juice from a one-hole
container
Plop! plop! plop! plop!
Yawn! yawn! yawn! yawn!
Plop! plop! plop!
Everybody's working except for me -
Well in a way because my words are laboured.
Work! work! work! work!
Bore! bore! bore! bore!
Work! work! work!
Feel my time is fading - all my mind is wasting.
Wasting in a wasteland - wasteland in a landscape.
Sand! sand! sand! sand!
Dust! dust! dust! dust!
Sand! sand! sand!
No one buys me flowers
No one writes me letters
No one gives a monkeys
For a lonely poet
Write! write! write! write!
Cry! cry! cry! cry!
Write! write! write!
PART 2
Here again and things have changed
But loneliness it still remains
Drifting slowly in a rough rude sea
Hate makes me unreasonable
A jealous, spiteful, angry fool
No longer are you shelter from my fears
Just a year, but such an end
An ugly end, a beautiful era
And we'll never ever see it again
Encased in memories
A tortured garden haven
And now I find I'm lonely in your company
And I'll never ever know you again
