Love
They say Love in blind and wonders around town with a little, white
stick, making passers-by feel guilty for not helping it cross the road.
They say Love is bittersweet like a lemon meringue pie with too much
lemon in. They also say that the feeling of Love can be created by
eating two thousand five hundred chocolate bars, although I personally
haven't tested this. They say lots of things about Love but yet nobody
really has the foggiest idea do they? Everybody has their own ideas,
their own personal experiences and bizarre attitude on what real "true
Love" should be like but nobody really knows do they? Of course Love is
everywhere, in movies, on TV, sitting on park benches with blatant
disregard for other people who might want to sit there later - Love is
truly "in the air." You can easily breathe it in and just as easily
exhale it but what does it actually feel like? Two thousand five
hundred chocolate bars? Is Love now also bloated and knelt over the
toilet?
The Greek's apparently had six words for Love, each to describe a
different type of Love. There was one Love for God, another Love for
your family, another Love for ham and pineapple pizza and so on. I
think that the Greek's definitely had the right idea; it's a shame that
the English language, with all its great phrases and expressions, lacks
something as crucial as Love. It leads to much confusion because
although I do love my friends and family, I don't particularly want a
hot and passionate night with any of them. Sorry.
Whatever Love is, I don't think you can find it in a pop song, a movie
or on TV, after all the Greek's had It and they didn't have Westlife,
Hollywood or Eastenders. I don't think it's about bunches of red roses,
cuddly toys or boxes of chocolate - although they are welcome. Whatever
love is about it's about something more&;#8230; if you work it out
answers on a postcard please.
