Older.

Okay,
so we grew up
replaced sugar with other tastes
destroying other aspects than our smiles
and we don't ask permission
for sleep-overs

Just
after we left
our parents got cable tv
electric blankets on all the beds
and fat old Spagnum Moss
was put to sleep.

And
they cut down
the forest where the fairies lived
the dentist won't collect
from under the pillow
grandma popped her clogs

But,
we're tall enough now
to choose any fair ground ride
And see into high-windows
No tip-toes.
(noses pressed against
we can't see for the steam)
