QUIETLY
Quietly I entered her room
Her face was angelic; glowing in moonlit loveliness
A child at peace
No fears, only childhood dreams within her
A symbol of true love
Her silky hair glistened like a waterfall cascading onto the
pillow
Where was she?
What was in that tiny and most beautiful head of hers?
I will never know
I gently kissed her brow
My eyes filled with salty tears
I pulled back as they rolled down my face
I did not want them to fall on her precious face
"Goodbye" I said; "goodbye my angel"
Quietly I walked away
Quietly I cried
Quietly I died
Her coffin creaked in sympathetic harmony
Quietly, so quietly
