REFUSAL TO NOT MOURN THE DEATH OF A CHILD......
I cried, He said, for the first time
In a long age, I am
Not usually moved
By tales of poverty, misery, death
He said.
But this time, when his brother
Broke down, and the other men stood round
And supported him
That moment was too sad, I cried
He said
I cried, not just for the boy
But for myself
Because I am inadequate
Incapable, helpless
To change this world, by any means
He said
This world in which children die
Here, anywhere, everywhere
Of casual violence
Of intentional hatred
Of ignorance, disease, greed
He said.
