Squirrels
Mischievous garden acrobats on a tightrope fence,
Nature's burglars with a cunning sixth sense.
Ever attentive, alert and aware,
Intuition tells them there's a predator- beware!
A bark of a dog, it's a four-legged beast
An annoying distraction from an impending feast.
Scampering away swiftly pretending they're scared,
Soon to return, how's their acting fared?
Is the threat gone ,is it time to delve in?
No sign of life let the raiding begin.
Gathering up nuts to fill up their larder,
This time was easy , next time could be harder!
