Tiny Mouse
My rodent friend sleeps
Attached to a mother board
Tethered by a dull grey cord.
Moulded plastic a tactile skin
No need for stroking
Or signs of affection
Technology is his only cage.
Once woken from slumber
Enthusiastic sweeps of
Playground frivolity accompany
Deliberate directional decisions
Divulging purposeful intent.
A cursory click confirms his approval
To continue a cyber adventure.
A rollerball dynamo
Charges an endless energy
But only my enveloping palm
Holds the key to his future.
Together we are a team
Strangely entwined in
A microsoft screenplay.
