The Nature of Science

Your mind is your temple of doom
My mind is my laboratory
Testing for acidity of others
Gauging new levels of disbelief
Whilst using my lips for Sweet &; Sour
Stabbing the darkness with my sharp tongue
Salivating over lesser beings
Swinging from leaves in dreams
Becoming a rabid dog
Growling at things I don't understand
Barking at the morning birds
Who fly into the claws of cats
The cat chews on the head
Tearing the life apart
Biting into the dying eyes
They explode into sticky stains
The evidence is blooded white fluff
He was chewing but now swallowing
Re-finding and refining the beast inside
Leaving behind a carcass for insects
Who live for weeks off on a leg
Until maggots digest and it's infested
Leaving the bones to dry
And to fossilise
To be understood 200years from now
Causing confusion and disbelief
Perhaps a shift back of the paradigm
As aliens understand the size of man
Who? What? Where? Then?
The universe their playground
Our planet their homework
My skull as new jewellery
Gold plated beside yours
The conclusion, is ours&;#8230;
