Peace in our time

The papers are filled with the pictures the injured in Jerusalem and
Baghdad and the peace process hangs in the balance (once more.) The
heat of the London summer has just cooled and it is getting to that
time of year where the school holidays are ending and families are
returning home....

"There was a shudder last night and the earth stood still. There was
shudder that echoed in the hearts of man. Peace cannot be forged in
battlegrounds and bombings. It can only be forged in the hearts of
mankind.

Peace is not a concept born of compromise, it is born in acceptance, of
the self and others. Peace casts no shadows over the sins of the past.
It shines a bright light in dark corners.

That light will be ignited in the heart of man. It will become the song
that everyone sings. It will become the light behind everyone's eyes.
It will, because God's will, will prevail."

What do I understand the word 'God" to mean? To me it is universal
intelligence and energy infused with love. It is not a man on a throne,
or an outside arbiter or judge. It is the force of life. The point of
creation and it is within us all.

Therefore, God's will is about acting in alignment with your soul. It
is making things happen and being a force for change.
