Yuanqiu Tan was built in Ming Dynasty, located south of temple of heaven, also called Ji temple of heaven.
Yuanqiu Tan is three-layer open-air round table. The surface of Yuanqiu Tan carved is made of leaves bluestone, white marble balustrade, and columns. Two walls symbolized “Tian round, Di square”. The entire structure of Yuanqiu Tan is the cleverly use of mathematics. The number of nine is used in surface, steps and railings symbolizing the sky. Round stone board on the center of Yuanqiu Tan is known Tianxin stone. When you stand above the Yuanqiu Tan, you will hear echo of their voices which sound great .
Yuanqiu Tan was built in 1530. Its main building are Yuanqiu, Huang Qiongyu, Side palace, Shenchu, Three Ku and Zisheng pavilion. Ancillary buildings include Jufu station, Looking Lights and so on. When you visit temple of heaven, you can have a view of Yuanqiu Tan. It is a famous attraction in temple of heaven.
