And with that last effort Guido managed to catapult his little
friend into the basket.
"Phew, that was close" said Andreas the mouse.
"Doh, yer it was." Answered Guido, the rather mentally challenged long
haired guinea pig that sat in the basket.
"The wind is blowing us&;#8230;south-east, just the way we want to
go, the way to the temple."
"Hurrah." Shouted Guido.
Andreas looked at Guido doubtfully, thankful of his recent rescue
though he was, he wasn't sure if his broom headed looking friend even
knew what was going on, such was the way with long haired guinea pigs
in Andreas' experience. Not to mention the fact that Guido couldn't see
through the thick matt of hair in front of his eyes, he was also
constantly pre-occupied with his stomach.
"Can you see properly?" Asked Andreas
"Perfectly well." Announced Guido, staring out of the basket.
"I'm over here Guido, you can't see a thing, can you?"
"Yes, I was just looking at a tiny river far below, I was, actually, it
looks like spaghetti, so it does, ummm, yes, spaghetti."
"Really." Answered Andreas. Andreas was tired, so he let it go.
Long haired guinea pigs did provide muscle, and it was muscle that
Andreas needed if he was going to rescue his lovely Pitiquita from the
dreaded Temple of the Tube Footed Toads.
The little balloon tipped and swung through the air, carried South-east
on an evening wind, in the basket suspended underneath the two little
creatures settled down to sleep, tomorrow would be an adventure
indeed.
