An old hobo was walking the streets down and desolate. No-one had given him a cent all day, and the people he had met just passed him by without saying a word, often giving him an abrubt cold shoudler. People avoided him, and he did not know what he was going to have for supper. The old hobo was sad a depressed as he slogged on. A little girl came walking by with a flower in her hand that she had plucked from one of the gardens. She did not know what an old 'hobo' was, or even what the word meant, all she saw was a disheartened and lonely old man who looked very sad and forlorn. She smiled up at the old man hand handed him the flower with a smile, without saying a word. The old man smiled back and said, 'Thank you!' as the little girl walked on, happy with her good deed for the day. When she was gone, he smiled a lonely little smile to himself as a tear rolled down his cheek. All he really needed was a little love and affection. To know that somebody out there cared. We all need some simple love sometimes.
