Forbidden Fruit
The intoxicating snake
Inked on your arm
Winds and curls itself
Around limbs in my mind.
Scale on skin,
Its forked tongue flickers
Over my face,
Seeking the salt that lines lips,
Scattering its silvery scales,
Leaving a trail
I want you to follow.
As I awake,
It slides away
Leaving me breathless,
Gasping.
Positive usefulness
You may cover my back
with the cruel cuts of your
Misguided purity
But&;#8230;..
You will not dent my courage
You will not drain my power
You will not quench my passion
FOR I AM A WOMAN
