HAPPY EASTER?

Easter's here, Westminster's shut

Holidays are here, open up the gate!

The problems stay unsolved, unpaid.

We're resting, laws can wait!!

Too much work, not enough rest,

Without it we can't do our best.

But we'll be back and full of zest

To put the country to the test.

We can't agree, but that's alright

We won't give in without a fight.

Expenses are our legal right

One day the plebs will see the light!!

Politics is a funny word.

Politicians are not funny.

They don't like to work at all.

They only like the money!!

It's all too much, it ain't no fun.

We want more time to take the sun.

But well stay white, we will not run.

We'll stay straight and that's no pun.

So it is clear that politics

Is not to earn your corn.

It's tasting power that pulls you in

Where avarice is born.

The country needs some answers,

We need to know our fate.

The rich don't give a monkey's

They'll just show us the gate!!

Now looking round the cabinet

How many poor do we see?

With their friends in very high places

What chance for thee and me?

So Gentlemen/Ladies in power Hark!

The "Golden Goose" ain't feeling well.

We're force fed excuses all the time.

It's time to ring the bell.
