Robotic Rovers

They are here to invade
Our homes and the trade
The robots are taking us over
Mechanical bods will be like tin gods
And answer to names, such as Rover
Well I'm rather keen
For they dust and they clean
They may even be programmed to cook
I can picture it now
And hollering wow!
As I lie there, stretched out with a book
But just keep this thought
That after they're taught
What if they want to be boss
With a hand-ful of spanners
Just teach them their manners
And show them, that you can get cross
And just bear in mind
Don't be over-kind
Respect them just up to a point
For if you're too lenient
They'll think it convenient
To take over you and the joint.
