I wish

I wish I could record each memory so they wouldn't fade,
Remember them in the same way without time decay,
I want to picture your face again clearly the way it was
Explore the realisation and focus in different light.

Recapture the magic of viewing the world anew,
I wish I could build these walls up, Pause experiences,
ready to rewind to the past, zoom and shoot
Rewind and it seems so good then, what would fastforward do?

Would the memory still be, with these eyes changing?
Did I Record or edit over you or did you brand me blind?
I wish I could inspect the negatives earlier before this painful
ending,
And where will it stop? Will I require long-play?

I wish this was a short-play ending.
