The Oaks Flower

There was once a mighty oak tree standing out in the fields with many beautiful flowers blossoming all around it. The oak tree stood proud and tall while all of the flowers floated in the breeze alongside it. The world was beautiful beyond compare with the green grass and the lovely flowers blooming all around the great oak tree. Time stood still as the world passed around them and they were happy and content always. But one day another tiny little flower sprang up beside the old oak tree and looked at the world around it in wonder. The flowers, the green, green fields and the blue sky above. It had never seen such a marvelous sight. Just then the little flower spotted the giant old oak tree towering high above her and said in awe, ‘My, you are such a great big oak tree, and me just a tiny little bloom. I am to perish one day soon, yet you stand forever proud and tall through all the ages. How can a tiny little flower like myself compare with such a divine being such as yourself?’ But the oak answered the little flower and said, ‘All my greatness would be lost forever if I did not have a little flower such as you to accompany me through life and nature always. A mighty oak is nothing without a little bloom to brighten up his days. Your beauty is as marvelous as my might is great. You are the best friends that anyone could ever ask for.’ He said. And still the gentle breeze touched all of the pretty flowers out in the field, and still they blossomed handsome and fair beside the great old oak tree forever. True greatness always recognizes the beauty and the wonder of those that are the least of all. A tree's love is its flowers.
