The waterfall is damned, has been since you woke,
Creative thoughts were rammed into every word we spoke.
An achy temple yearning for explorers to leave,
Is retiring from the brainstorm, weary and relieved.
Writing words from nightfall, the pen has thoughts to think,
Feelings like a monsoon, expressed in endless ink.
Bloodshot vision shaking, imagination's tax,
Forgetting all your cups of tea, but soon you can relax.
Don't give up before it's done, your words will lose their worth,
Don't make mistakes or take a break, your thoughts will stray from earth.
Write until the mind is dry, then bathe and start again,
And when the waterfall is damned, break it once again.
