May be you, But How Can I?

Two birds in the bush.
One was beautiful,
The other one dark.
He was so dull,
She was so smart.

But Between them was Love,
The unspoken, intense, True Love.
He meant everything to her.
Two skeleton and one Life they were.

She used to ask,
"Will you ever leave me?"
And He used to answer
"May Be you, But Never will I!"

And one fine rainy day it all changed, She saw her reflection in the Pond.
It was then she realised,
M so beautiful,
He is so dark.
How Smart is me,
And How Dull is he.

And She left Him.
He never complained,
He Never Cried.
The only thing he used to utter is -
"May be you, But Never will I!"

There came the Hunter, Saw the beautiful bird.
" How Beautiful she is! I will eat her in dinner."
Thus He took the aim, and pushed the trigger,
But the Ugly bird came in the path, Took the shot on himself.
She came down to him, Saw him full of blood.
Only thing she could ask was "Why!"
And He replied with a smile, "May be you, But how can I!"
