As she sat by him,
She could not ignore
His gaze draws nearer,
To her face.

Her eyes glistened.
His eyes stared.
Both pairs wandered.
Both thoughts shared.

His thoughts of passion,
Lust and desire.
Her thoughts of betrayal,
Distrust and perfidy.

His hand left hers.
Her eyes abandoned his gaze.
Thoughts were left stranded.
Two strangers left.
