Reality's Time Machine
They say patience is a virtue
But it's so much more than that
Time makes mountains that tower gargantuan
Into ancient grass covered hills
Forgotten former glory
When grey rocks slashed the sky
Time dries up massive seas
Leaving valleys and orange canyons
Slicing deep into the mighty earth
Time dulls the stars until they burn out
And implode into black holes
Sucking in comets and anything else
That falls into their inescapable pull
Patience is the vehicle
We use to travel through time
They say patience is a virtue
But they never said that patience is the key
To unlocking the doors of Nirvana
