Your Smile Is All I See

When we play in pits and parks,
Cops and robbers, out till dark,
Your pretty smile
Is all I see.
When the night is young and you sit by me,
Under the trees or next to the sea,
Your charming smile
Is all I see.
Playful games and tickle fights,
Movie time on Wednesday night,
Your cheeky smile
Is all I see.
Hand in hand, we walk the slope,
Clutching, shaking, nervous hope,
Your glittering smile
Is all I see.
Living, breathing, choking on you,
Screaming, shouting, yelling at you,
Your raging smile
Is all I see.
Sharing laughs with loving looks,
Storing memories in an open book,
Your big fat grin
Is all I see.
When I’m sad and when I’m blue,
Crying, curling, crumpling in gloom,
Your soothing smile
Is all I see.
And when we’re old and our days are short,
We’ll look back on days with youthful thoughts,
And your aging smile
Will be all I see.
