For We See Ourselves
If you care to find us;
just look within, among the
ghost corridor, building awaiting.
Although we’re not an enigma,
Nor a mystery to unravel.
Wherever you go, there you are.
A moment of pause, and listen
to our melodrama.
In the rain we sit and shed on the front
porch when spring comes.
You’ll find us in the hollow carrion.
All the answers are right here.
In this acceptance, that can be mistaken.
Come fall, sparkling your light on our
Similarities are like a peripeteia shift
That summer brings.
We can share our commonality with all
species, imaging such vulnerability of a
fish out of water, keep searching, and you’ll
find us fade into the night rain.
Then, unintentionally, rise like the sun.
In a feather that floats upward.
We make no apologies for being the Eagles
that soars above the kites.
Once we metamorphose from a caterpillar:
Having the butterfly effect.
In search of nectar/pollen, only to land on
A black swan, when she looked around, she
saw herself there, in the heart of a pistil
Flower.
Here, balance is life.
This is how we see ourselves.
