FORGIVE

To say we forgive
Becomes a trick of the tongue
Falling swiftly on the air,
Drifting along the senses,
Easing our feet
Along paths of no-regard
Where memories of pain
Wash away spires of sand
On the wave-washed shore of memory.
To believe we forgive
Recalls anguish-filled hurt,
Leaden weights scarred by deceit,
Grooved by cruelty or
Incised through careless indifference
That we can accept
As the turning of the heart
And the rebirth of spirit,
Ours to receive, ours to forgive.

I liked it, it felt like it
I liked it, it felt like it was meaningful to you.

Not easy to do, forgive,
Not easy to do, forgive, liked the sand images for erosion.

I found interesting the idea
I found interesting the idea that we usually don't forgive because of the pain created, which is natural, I think. But overwhelming it should be a great satisfaction.
Great stuff, michael!
