if my world should end tomorrow
what mark will I have made
will anyone remember
or will my memory just fade

will my name oft be mentioned
upon the tongues of other men
will anything that I have done
be worth recalling once again

is eternity simply your legacy
of what you leave behind
how long will my eternity be
will I linger in others minds

or fade like twilight into dusk
a quick and painless thought
simply never again to exist
and everything been for naught
