Tea
No sun rose today
The light came on
Morning soft and dim
Like a frosted bulb
Breakfast on Little Debbie snacks
Caffeine's in the tea
Winter bird's chirp
Like Styrofoam squeaking
Grey sky like steam
At the bottom of the cup
The tea is dry
Dry in the mouth too
Like the back of the hand
But not so rough
The morning's lonely
Thick cloud's and stiff wind
The only company
No dew drops just frost
Nothing to hold but tea
(an alternate stanza to "Tea")
the tea bag string
wraps around the finger
roll it a little
pinch in the middle
instant wedding ring
