Awake
Distant skylights surrender
to the black canvas of the universe
My darling
Do you feel the Night slowly breathe
casting all her soft glows onto the
shadowed valleys of your form
How her envious stars receive the
naked passion of your skin,
burning as a bonfire in perfect midnight
Now let us not sigh for the
child of places long ago
We were but strangers then,
now lovers under the
jet blanket of our sky
I had remembered your tender
warmth then in darkest of nights
I had remembered a dream from
the deepest of dreams that
when came morning you were gone
