All the years I had no mum

With all the years I had no mum
I thought of you as my chum
But as the time travelled by
You where really the apple of my eye
Although I did not say
I loved you in my own sweet way
Pat came first, as she did
But I knew you were there for that little kid
Although I called you Slack
I was only having a bit of a crack
I know my way was not just right
But at least we did not fight
I watched you through the years
The way you dealt with all the fears
You could hold your head up high
Infact you could touch the sky
I tried to show my love for you
With the grandkids I gave to you
But as the time passed on by
It came your unfortunate time to die
It broke my heart the way you departed
Without a word to the faint hearted
I tried to wish you on your way
But it was not my type of day
I hope in time they will plant a tree
Maybe it could be three
I will never forget the many days
We coped with your failing ways
But never the less its ended the job
You are now with your loving Bob
To look at us as we grow old
You could look and say, that Grahams getting bold
I did not feel really too bad when they sang
Because you were already there with the gang
Your mum and dad and all friends too
Telling them all, what a todo
No longer going to the ward
But having to tell the Lord
I've arrived the way I could afford
You will no longer suffer that earth
But have given all your worth
So give my love to those above, I miss
And give yourself and my lot a great big kiss.
