Let's stroll idly along the riverbank,
Whilst Summer inches past.
I'll hold your gaze as tightly
As your hand upon my grasp.
Can you hear my heart's own melody,
Sing softly on the breeze?
As we wander on together,
'tween the flickering shadows of the trees.
Heavy bees bounce, intoxicated,
They come from far and wide.
Searching for golden Buttercups,
As precious as the treasure by my side.
We stop upon an old stone bridge,
Like ancient lovers years ago.
Two dragonflies slow-dance above our heads,
Enchanting waters run deep below.
I pause for just a moment,
And gently draw you near.
Tenderly cup your face into my hands,
And kiss away your fear.
