So I Met a Bunch of People...

I met a woman who programs computers for a living
Her creed: the seasons, the sun and moon and creatures of the earth
I met an androgyn who claimed xe sympathized with the plight of the working class
From xeir student-grant ivory tower of some artsy idle classes, but xe'd lied
I met a man who I surely thought came to this movie just to get laid
By the end of the film there were tears on his face from the storyline
I met someone I so surely thought would wound me
They gave me a hug and asked me for my blessing
I met someone I so surely thought would save me
They spat in my face and we tore one another apart
I met myself, and feared that I would hate me
I bowed to me and kissed the back of my hand
I left my world to visit good kids with good homes
They were cruel to one another and held love for none
So I fled for a while to orphans and outlaws
But my kind heart did not belong here either
I sought out the lonely but only found the selfish
I feared I would wander the world in search of reprieve
The nature-lover wrapped me in a blanket
She brought me tea and listened to my insane gibberings
Put her hands on my shoulders, said "Hush, hush now, you're safe here"
The one I had thought would wound me came to visit me where I lay
Nursing a psychic wound in a bed in the programmer's home
They requited my Pagan blessings, and so I blessed them again
