Words Spoken Between Best Friends

Words said to a friend: She knew what she was doing from the beginning. Is it my guilt or is it nothing to do with me at all?
My face reddens and grows warmer. Do you notice this about me? Those words spoken so violently. As if, a woman is nothing more than a spider building her web. Not to lay eggs; but, to capture a feast.
To capture her victim with. As if, knives were being hurled straight from your tongue. This is the way you spoke to me. With no regard for my feelings.
When did this happen to us? I realize I don't even know you, anymore. Hell, do I even know myself? Friends for twenty years or better. Was it all a waste of our time?
