I know I cant just say sorry, but I pray that time and stardust will
heal you.
I never meant to break your wings; I never meant to hurt you,
And If I have then please remember, I am no more than human.
Fairies are made of stardust, and I am just blood and bone,
The truth is, and was, so obvious, I would never, have flown.
And if I had they would call me Icarus, and point at my descent,
And you would have tried to help me but my wax was bound to melt.
I am no poet yet, nor man, or little boy,
I am just a flawed animal hoping for some joy.
My dream was a fairy queen, my truth a beam of light.
But when I reach truth's end, there is only the dark of night.
