Angel

Where is my Angel?
I've searched so high and low
Will she turn out to be someone I know?
Have I already met her?
But just walked on by
Was she the one with a tear in her eye?

Could she be crying out for me to admit?
I need her help and I will need it quick
Or could she turn out to be inside of me
Waiting for me to set her free.

Are all of my fears holding her down?
Is she buried alive?
By the weight of my frown,
Or is it that cowards don't deserve any peace?
If only I had the courage
To earn it, at least.

Oh! How I wish that I could locate
The path my guardian Angel would take
But I need her to guide me
To take me by the hand
As my time has come
I'm going to search
Every inch of this land.

And when I find my higher power
My soul I'll give to her
Each step we'll take together
And finally happiness, may occur.
