Autumn
Time has passed with the charm of summer's hot and humid days,
The presence of terra cotta and golden leaves, make elegant
displays,
The fruits of our labours this past summer, have been collected,
For we know that in months to come these will be selected.
Time now for creatures to finally gather those wares to stock,
For months to come, the land will gradually turn hard as rock,
The earth gets more barren and gloomy, as the days go by,
Even the colours have changed, in that once clear blue sky.
But autumn has its very own, mystical and beautiful charm,
And we still see people stroll through woods, arm in arm,
To take a look at natures hypnotising scenes she has changed.
For this all must happen, for seasons she has to arrange.
Array of empty branches now spans these cold grey skies,
For all that was part of living upon those trees now dies,
The time of nature's autumn charms leave us in many days,
For we must prepare for winter, which is on its way.
