CONFUSION

Confusion
The salted breeze blows from across this everlasting restless
sea,
Waves pound against the shore, to show they are about to run
free,
Gulls swoop to devour the morsels turned by this turbulent swell,
The wind swept spray, dances to tunes, we all know so well.
And with the incoming tide, that starts to run at its most high,
Black clouds brought by the storm, are now crowding the sky,
Thunder now bellows its roar, across seas of great confusion,
Lightning strikes a powerful blow; this is not an illusion.
This mighty power from natures unforeseen depths, has emerged,
Blasts with such energy, that the land and sea have converged,
Distorted this coastal beach, that was once known so well,
And leaves in its wake, confusion, that only the birds do dwell.
The storm has dwindled; a space of tranquillity has broken
through,
Rays of sunshine spring from behind the clouds, show the sky
blue,
And calm has chosen to return, to this once tumultuous scene,
Life has resumed nearly as normal, was this all a dream?
