That first kiss

Music bounced off the walls and vibrated through me, the floor jumping from the heavy bass. My head was spinning, eyesight blurred. Many colourful flashing lights merged into one. I flopped into John’s arms, when he spun me I felt free. I looked into his stormy grey eyes; they sparkled even from the lack of light which was contained in the club. I smiled, his dancing was horrific, but I didn’t feel embarrassed because no-one was paying attention. The DJ put on a less upbeat song but turned the volume up, John slowly clung my by the waist and pulled me so close our chests were touching.
“I know you like me” he shouted
“Pardon?” I didn’t understand what he said from under the blaring music
“I know you like me”
My stomach sunk, my expression fell “What?” I whispered. How could he know? Nobody knows! “I have to go” I told him. I ran so fast you’d think I was a superhero.
I burst out of the entrance to find it’s chucking it down with rain. I couldn’t go back inside…Yeah; no I couldn’t go back inside. Instead I trudged through the rain getting soaked inside out.
“EMMA!” He yelled my name. I paused, but didn’t turn around. I took a deep breath and turned to face John. He was already running towards me, getting closer and I’d have to explain my self. “Emma” he breathed again now standing 30cm away from me and slowly edging forward.
“I’m sorry!” I exclaimed, he cupped my face in his hand and forced me to look up. I stared at his perfect features, and those eyes. I could swim in his eyes.
“Why are you sorry?”
“Just that-" I was confused, he scrunched his face – which made him look extremely cute.
“I love you, Emma, you drive me crazy! You’re so stupid for not noticing!” he spluttered in a quick sentence. I was stunned; all I could do was smile. The rain poured harder, so hard it was bouncing back from the pavement. Without warning his lips were on mine, with a mind of their own my lips returned the kiss, our breath mingling and our hands entwined together. Then he released, “There’s always something romantic about kissing in the rain” he breathed,
“I’m not done yet” I grabbed his top and pulled him closer again, the kiss was more passionate than before, I swear it could of killed me. He had ‘lips of morphine’.
