Had life been,
Uncomplicated sweet,
The way tea,
Before milk's insult,
Then this delusion
That a longed for smile
Could quench thirst's
Dry tongue flick at peace,
Had a chance.....
But life ,
Is a diabetic's sacharine,
And somewhere close,
Memory twines it's fingers,
Subtly through mine.
